Registered Massage Therapists

RON COMEAU

Registered Massage Therapist

I first became interested in Massage Therapy while suffering from an injury brought on by my new found love of running.  I was convinced to see a friend for Massage Therapy treatment that included Active Release treatment (A.R.T.).  I was back running, biking and swimming pain free within a very short time!  As time went on the pulp and paper industry in which I had been employed in for the past 16 years took a huge downturn. The very moment I heard that my "job of a life-time" was to be no more I knew what avenue I wanted to pursue.  I studied and became a Registered Massage Therapist to help people with their pain and injuries and discovered that this is a "job of a life-time"! I am a 2008 graduate of the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage in Fredericton, New Brunswick.  While completing my education to become a Registered Massage Therapist I also spent time studying and volunteering to obtain my Certified Sports Massage Therapist Certification with a focus on Active Myofascial Release Techniques.  To further my knowledge I am currently studying for certification as an Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.) Practitioner, and have recently acquired certification in A.R.T. for the Upper Extremities. I think it is a magical thing to be able to help the human body with one's own hands!
